Only one can be active at once (unless one uses the Aetherial Crown). They can be activated at any time once the player discovers them, and confer various bonuses, such as increasing experience gained for certain skill types, or buffing stats. Instead, Skyrim has added Standing Stones, which are monoliths found throughout Skyrim that functionally replace both birthsigns and Doomstones. Players can now edit facial features in much greater detail, and add decorations like war paint, facial hair, battle scars, wrinkles, and dirt coverage.
The process is thus centered almost entirely on the aesthetic aspect of character creation, which has been greatly improved over past games. The only aspects which the player will choose are race, gender, appearance, and name. With Skyrim, the class system has been removed, and character creation determines very little about the capabilities of a character. In past The Elder Scrolls games, character creation was where the player decided their class, which would shape their character's strengths and weaknesses for the whole of the gaming experience ahead. My character is simply not there, or even remotely detectable when in Third Person. I do have mods.but I have had these mods since Level 2 (I'm at level 55) and have not changed or added or removed mods since at least Level 6. I also competed the quest for the Mage's College where you get turned invisible a LONG time ago, so it's not a result of that. (I can see her effect on the water, but nothing is there). Armour is only visible when in First Person. I have no "active effects" like when you can use invisibility potions (but can still see a blurry representation of your character) This is not like that.
I've searched the web and found a variety of conditions where people's characters are like "ghosts" with some aspects visible. In First person, I can see her sword and shield and her doing any and all actions.
Loaded up the game today and my character is not showing in third person. Played Skyrim SE all day yesterday.everything was working smoothly.
